A Part of B.T.S.

Colorado Central
24' Box Car

The C.C. built 70 of these 24' Box Cars with 24,000-lb. capacity. They were relettered and renumbered for the U.P. in 1885, and again in 1890, when the name was changed to Union Pacific Denver & Gulf. Finally with the formation of the C&S in 1898, these cars were lettered as shown in the third model above. Later some of the box cars were rebuilt into outfit cars.

Our HOn3 kit consists of laser-cut wood, Grandt parts, and new CCM brass hardware parts. Details such as coupler lift rods and brake rigging can be added from parts supplied to make a well-detailed model.

Decals, couplers, and trucks are not included.
